Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has told off Deputy President William Ruto for terming the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) tours a waste of money and time.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Kamket said that Ruto has no moral authority to talk about the waste of resources as far as the report is concerned.
He said that Ruto has been on spot over alleged graft and now cannot address such an issue. He compared Ruto’s camp to suicide bombers.
“The DP is the least qualified to talk about wastage of fund; he is on record as the most corrupt Kenyan. Tanga tanga has become like suicide bombers who do not want to detonate the vest; they are uncomfortable with Govt. but love power, they cannot bolt,” he said.
Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi said that the tours are meant to advance what was proposed in the BBI report. He reminded leaders not to read mischief in the campaigns for the report.
"BBI report was deliberately watered down to accommodate certain interests. We are going to advance what was opposed last time; If there’s a Prime Minister, then we want a powerful one not the one who was in the report in Bomas," he said.
