Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has pointed fingers at ODM leader Raila Odinga as the biggest enemy of the Deputy President William Ruto's camp.
Barasa said that they have no problem accommodating Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi alluding that they don feel threatened by him.
Rather he said that Raila is their (Ruto's camp) biggest enemy as he has allegedly lied to their community for a long time and it high time they showed him they too deserve to be respected.
“Most of us from Western who are allied to DP Ruto have no problem accommodating Mudavadi. We don’t feel threatened that he will take our positions. We want him to come because we have only one enemy and a common goal. Our enemy is Raila Odinga who has taken our community for a ride for many years," he is quoted.
This comes at a time when Mudavadi, is under pressure to join Western Kenya leaders working with Deputy President, including Barasa, ahead of his (Ruto) 2022 presidential bid.
Barasa now says that Mudavadi's entry into Ruto's camp would be embraced, adding that they don't fear that his entry would displace them as pointmen of the DP in Luhyaland.
He adds that Mudavadi's entry will actually enhance the group's power in its fight its main enemy which is Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, Ruto's sworn rival.
The former Deputy Prime Minister has said that he is personally going for the seat, amid speculations that himself and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka might join Ruto before 2022.
