Former presidential candidate Abduba Dida's teaching and future political careers now hang in balance.
Dida is being investigated over allegations of operating a brothel and filming pornographic content at his South C home in Nairobi.
Last week, detectives acting on a tip off raided Dida's home confiscating several suspicious material and equipment which they believe were being used to shoot pornographic content.
Detecives claim that they seized high-resolution cameras, contraceptive pills, a makeshift studio and sex enhancing drugs.
Campaign material the former presidential candidate used in 2017 polls were allegedly found in one of the rooms at the apartment.
Political analyst Peter Ngure now says that Dida's political image is at stake.
The analyst observes that Dida will have buried his political career if the allegations against him are proved.
"Abduba Dida is one of the sober people we have in the country and who can be trusted with leadership but the allegations being levelled against him are likely to destroy him completely if they are proved," he said.
The analyst further said that Dida's reputation as a professional teacher hangs in balance.
Detectives are still probing the allegations against Dida with several suspects already in police custody.
Last week, the government arrested and deported 15 Chinese nationals on suspicions of engaging in pornographic activities in Nairobi's South C area.
