Deputy President William Ruto has asked the Gusii community and leaders to join a winning team ahead of 2022 general elections.
DP Ruto argued that the community has been following ODM party leader Raila Odinga, a political loser for years without benefiting.
"I am begging members of the Gusii community and local leaders to join a team that is going to win in 2022. The community for real has been in the political cold for a long time and it is time to feel the warmth," he said.
Mr. Ruto reiterated that he is ready to engage all political leaders from different political outfit ahead of the 2022 general elections.
According to Ruto, he values inclusivity and therefore, when the time comes he will form a government where everyone will fit.
"No community should be left in the cold. Discrimination is a barrier to development. I will be committed to ensuring that Kenyans are represented well and benefit from the available public resources," he noted.
He warned local politicians against engaging in divisive politics saying the law will be on their neck.
Ruto was speaking on Saturday at Nyabururu Catholic church in Kitutu Chache South during a fund drive towards the construction of the church.
