Nyamira Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has launched investigations to ascertain how Governor John Nyagarama's official vehicle found itself in DP William Ruto's function.
On Monday, the V8 Toyota Prado was spotted at Keroka despite Nyagarama's absence in the function further raising eyebrows.
And Nyaribo, who is temporarily executing Nyagarama's duties, termed the move as 'illegal' adding that culprits will be punished.
"The governor is in the US for treatment and ordinarily, nobody is allowed to use the vehicle. the impostor who used it must face the law," he told reporters.
He added: "Not even me is allowed to use the vehicle. I can only ask for lift from governor. Undermining the office of the governor must stop."
Sources intimate that suspended Deputy Chief of Staff Kefa Mocheche, a close relative of the governor, used the vehicle to undermine Nyaribo's presence.
The two have been at loggerheads leading to Nyaribo's decision to suspend him pending disciplinary actions.
