There were dances and jubilation in Bomariba ward, Bonchari Sub County Kisii County on Monday, November 19, 2018, after Education CS Amina Mohammed released 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
Bomariba Primary schools were among the best schools that recorded excellent performance in the Sub County.
St. Angela Merici Igonga D.O.K Primary school had the best candidate Albert Onsombi scoring 389 marks while the second and third candidates scored 354, 343 marks respectively.
Moses Nyamwange, a teacher at the school noted that the school had 57 candidates who sat for the 2018 KCPE exams with only two candidates scoring below 200 marks.
"We will work hard to ensure no candidate scores below 200 in next year's KCPE exams. Our target is to have the last candidate scoring 250 and above marks. The mean score for Igonga Primary is 255.60," he said.
He added that the excellent performance was due to high discipline KCPE candidates maintained.
Mogumo Primary school also recorded good performance with a mean score of 291.39.
Miranga Primary school where Dismas Ogeto is the head teacher had 8 candidates scoring over 300 marks.
