An Jubilee MP has condemned EACC for failing to take action against the corrupt workers in Nyamira County.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko said EACC has failed the people of Nyamira in the fight against graft.
"EACC should move with speed and arrest all Nyamira County workers engaging in graft since public funds have been misused and misappropriated in the county," he said.
The MP stated that MCAs have been compromised to accept bribes instead of representing the electorates.
The former Nyamira County assembly speaker urged residents to wake up and ensure the money they pay as taxes is accounted for and not ending into some individuals' pockets.
"Nyamira locals should be vigilant in the fight against corruption since EACC has failed to execute its mandate as required by the constitution.
"There is no tangible development in Nyamira yet the county has been receiving money from the national government for development," he noted.
He insisted that Nyamira locals deserve good roads, improved health care, tight security and proper education for Nyamira children and this will only be achieved by using public funds appropriately.
