A woman who allegedly chopped off her man's private part before 'cleaning his face' with acid has been arrested in Diani, Kwale County.
Last week, a man in Kinoo, Kikuyu area, Kiambu County was fighting for his dear life after a woman he trusted chopped off his manhood, dumped it into a latrine before she went on to pour acid on his face.
David Kyande was then rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital for medication while the woman fled to the Coast as her hideout.
The woman identified as Jane Wanjiku, then changed her identity and had started wearing hijab to conceal her face.
Wanjiku together with other two male suspects made their way to Kwale, specifically in Diani.
Last Friday, she tried to secure a job at Tandoori Bar in Diani using the fake identity.
In her resume, she had indicated she had earlier worked in Mtwapa, that is, at Lollipop Club and at Duos Wines and Spirits in Leisure.
Detectives from Nairobi who were after her arrested her on the material day she was expected to sit for an interview for the job. She was locked up at Makupa police station before being taken back to Nairobi where she will be charged on Monday.
“We finally caught up with her in Diani as she prepared to do a job interview at the Tandoori Resort,’’ a police officer told Standard
Kyande is still in a critical condition at Kenyatta Hospital.
