A section of legislators from Nyamira now wants Deputy President William Ruto to apologize for 'demeaning' Saboti MP Caleb Amisi.
On Friday in Trans Nzoia, Ruto insisted that he will not initiate development projects in the MP's constituency because of his ties with Raila Odinga.
In separate interviews, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi and ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire condemned Ruto's remarks adding that he should apologize.
"The DP is just exposing his ignorance. He thinks that we live in 90s. The law about development is very clear and even the president can teach him," said Bosire, the former Kitutu Masaba MP.
Momanyi, on his part asked Ruto to embrace Building Bridges initiative adding that it would solve political differences.
"His remarks were outdated and he should just accept the handshake. Secondly, he knows how development is initiated. We need an apology on that."
Despite handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, the DP seems to have been irked by the move.
His allies have often accused Raila of causing discomfort in Jubilee party.
