Amani National Congress party leader Musaila Mudavadi said that the two leaders should dialogue and end the stalemate over the implementation of the new curriculum.

Mudavadi said that the differences between the two sides will affect the education sector if not well-handled.

“I call upon the Education CS Magoha to engage in dialogue with the KNUT officials and other stakeholders in the education sector so that a lasting solution on the implementation of the Competency-based Curriculum (CBC) is realised,” he said.

While addressing union members at Sony  Primary in Awendo in Migori  County on Friday, Sossion threatened to call for a strike if the ministry doesn’t change its stand on the implementation of the curriculum.

He claimed that the government will be compelled to spend more than Sh300 billion on the process, which he termed as uneconomical.

He noted that corruption is likely to affect the process of the implementation of the curriculum when that time comes. He urged the ministry to reconsider the process before it is too late.
