One person died and seven others injured after an accident involving a bus and a tanker along Nakuru-Eldoret highway at the notorious Salgaa stretch.

Nakuru OCPD Samuel Obara said the Nairobi bound bus collided with the tanker when the bus driver tried to overtake.

“Few casualties have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. The bus was coming from Butere heading to Nairobi when it collided with the tanker from the opposite direction,” Obara said.

Those injured were rushed to the hospital. 

The Friday incident saw a traffic build up along the route.

Drivers have been urged to remain cautious and safe lives.
