Simiyu said the ruling party, which is expected to front Deputy President William Ruto as its presidential candidate, will be defeated by FORD-Kenya which is led by Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula.

Speaking during a live show aired by NTV on Tuesday, the MP dismissed Jubilee as a toddler in matters politics and expressed optimism FORD-Kenya which has been in existence for almost three decades would take over power.

Simiyu, the party's Secretary General, said his outfit was no longer interested in working with other parties in the NASA coalition but it was now concentrating it's energies and strategies on the next general election.

"We (FORD-Kenya) are back as a party. We are not bothering about the (NASA) coalition. We are rebuilding. We are almost 26 years old while Jubilee is almost 2. I can assure you we will outlast Jubilee, " he said.

Simiyu further hit out at ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna over his remarks that FORD-Kenya was a party of 'slay queens' following Wetang'ula's demand of share of money NASA has received from Political Parties Fund.

"The unfortunate comment by ODM's secretary general likening FORD-Kenya to a 'slay queen' is very unfortunate. Please watch your language, politics is a very hard game. He should refrain from using such derogatory language, " the MP remarked.
