The ruling Jubilee coalition has been thrown into a state of mourning following the untimely death of it's popular blogger Maureen Gathigia Kinyua.
The late blogger died on Friday following a grisly road accident in Mathira.
Her death comes as a blow to the government, as she helped outline the Jubilee administration development agenda across social media platforms.
While mourning Maureen, Deputy President William Ruto described her death as a big blow to the Jubilee fraternity.
“Condolences to the family and friends of Maureen Gathigia Kinyua. A keen, dedicated and thorough young girl, she used the digital space to inform her audience of Jubilee’s agenda, especially the progress of implementing projects under the Big Four,” DP Ruto tweeted.
“Maureen was vivacious, confident and outgoing. She played an immeasurable role in our 2017 re-election campaigns and was a voice of reason and intellect. Rest In Peace,” he added.
While publicizing it's big four agenda, Jubilee relied heavily on social media where a majority of Kenyans access news.
