Everybody wants to go to heaven.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

Yet to get there, one has to die. The route to heaven doesn’t deter people from conjuring up how heaven looks like, aided of course by religion.

It is a place where an angel clad in white ushers you to an eternity of bliss. There’s singing of hosannas, everybody playing harps, and people get along, quite perfectly with each other. That’s where inconsistencies come in.

In heaven, people put aside all their differences and unite together in being happy and praising God.

Maybe it is the thought that they are probably stuck together forever that bind people.

Back on earth, you would not hesitate to hack a brother to death because he did not belong to your tribe or race.

There’s too much hatred in the world at the moment; and all that will be gone when people get to heaven. How?

It is a fact, although arguable, that man places sex at the top of all pleasures.

He can kill for it, risk his reputation for it just for the short-lived moment. However, of all heavenly pleasures, man has eliminated sex from it. In heaven there’s no sex at all. Only singing and playing harps. Is that possible?

On earth, people have dedicated no more than two hours of praising. In church, people will wait anxiously for it to come to an end, not standing the pastor if he or she extends the service even by a mere second.

Picture heaven with its singing. Day in day out. Singing and playing harps. How would man withstand that when he could not withstand a two-hour service.

Man has dedicated a vast portion of his heart and mind to religion. Every tribe, no matter how primitive one may consider them, has a deity in which they believe. Civilization has brought about Christianity, with Jesus Christ being the core of it. With all due respect, Jesus lived a life to be emulated.

Yet, on earth people are preaching about his deeds, and doing the opposite. Jesus owned nothing, our pastors today own private jets.
