A woman who made headlines for giving birth to five healthy children in Kakamega county has died.

Everline Namukhula died at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) where she was with her babies.

According to reports, Namukhula started complaining of chest pains on Saturday night.

The 28-year-old woman gave birth to five babies (two boys and three girls) at the Kakamega County Referral Hospital in March.

After going through the knife, she was bubbly about her kids who made her a mother of nine.

She had another set of twins.

“I am happy and I thank God for blessing me with five children at once. We have many people who admire to have children but they are unable to get due to health challenges,” Namukhula said.

The mother of nine had been taken to MTRH after one of the children developed complications and Kakamega General hospital referred her to the Eldoret-based facility.
