Kisumu County Governor Jack Ranguma launched a bridge at Katolo, East Kano Wawidhi Ward in his county.

The bridge was funded by the county government at a tune of Sh800,000.

The bridge was launched on Friday by  Ranguma in the company of chief officer for roads and public works Eng Jackob Ondola.

Named Nyanjigo-Ranguma road, the bridge is a life saving solution as River Nyanjigo has been a havoc to the residents more so school going children.

Speaking to jovial residents after launching the bridge, the governor said, "I am happy that we are through with bridge construction and people can use it when it floods. It has been difficult to pass here using vehicles but today we are able to pass without alighting.'

The area youth leader Mr James Obare thanked the governor saying the bridge it will enable Olasi dispensary be accessible to all the ward residents.
