With the August polls within site, many political formations are crafting the elusive campaign formulas that will help them eclipse their rivals. And with the coast region turning into a crucial swing bloc amid opposition rebellion, Jubilee is keen to take advantage of that and sway the region into the ruling party. From planting of key point men and assembling a group of grass root campaigners, the Uhuru Kenyatta-led party is leaving nothing to chance in their bid to wrestle the control of a region with 1.7 million votes from Raila Odinga's ODM.From an initial campaign team of four across the six counties, the President's team has been expanded to six.Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro will spearhead the campaigns in the Kilifi region while Suleiman Shahbal has been tasked to fight the ODM wave in Mombasa.Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has been tasked to deliver the county that is slowly turning into a battle ground to Jubilee. And he will be assisted by area Women Representative Zainabu Chidzuga. In the neighboring Tana River County, former Garsen MP and gubernatorial candidate Danson Mungatana will spearhead Jubilee Party charm offensive in the region. In Taita Taveta County, another crucial battle ground will see Taveta MP Naomi Shaban sell the party agenda to the locals.Just recently, Mvurya said that they are keen to deliver over 70 per cent of Kwale votes to President Kenyatta.
