Bungoma Senator and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has been ousted from the Minority Leader position in Senate.
The decision, sanctioned after 19 Opposition senators voted for Wetangula's replacement with his Siaya Counterpart James Orengo has elicited myriad reactions from Kenyans.
A substantial proportion of Kenyans on Twitter bashed the Senator for lacking political muscle to pride himself as the leader of the minority in parliament.
They said:
Narok County senator @ledamalekina wrote; "Moses Wetangula a man with one cow cannot be in charge of a cattle dip."
A user @WanjigiJimmy alluded that Wetangula had played with fire saying; "Finally Moses Wetangula has been dethroned. Cheza na mwingine sio Baba!"
Blogger @RobertAlai said "Moses Wetangula's MP in his home county is from Jubilee. He can't claim to have helped NASA in any way."
Another user @NormanMagaya responded; "What we have done to Moses Wetangula was still the best choice for NASA. My Luhya people abandoned Baba at the hour of need. Let him have a dose of his medicine."
@atanasi_ wrote: "Moses Wetangula refused to shake hands with Rao and he’s gone like that. Don’t play hard and expect Raila Odinga to handle you with kid gloves. This is a clear message to other principals. Musalia Mudavadi & Kalonzo Musyoka Should know that Rao is the COMMON DENOMINATOR in NASA."
@IkeOjuok explained that Wetangula's leadership was not impressive.
He wrote: "The truth of the matter is that majority of senators across the political spectrum don't like MOSES WETANGULA, he's arrogant and narcissistic. Even BABA is fed up with him but of course Tinga cannot play to the gallery. WETA is gone like babylon never to return again."
