According to the school’s Principal William Rono, the school's dormitory caught fire at around 7.00 pm leading to the loss of property of unknown value.

Rono further stated that there was no casualty incurred during the incident as the students were still undertaking their evening studies.

“I suspect that the damage could have been caused by an electric fault,” he said adding that the administration had earlier received reports from some of the students that a transformer was producing sparks.

He further urged students and other members of staff to volunteer more information related to the incident to the school management or Moi’s Bridge police station.

Confirming the incident, Moi’s Bridge OCPD Rose Zainabu said investigations had been launched to establish the cause of the fire.
