The motion was forwarded to the assembly by Muthwani MCA Dominic Maitha who said that senior officers in the county have been implicated in the report and it was of paramount importance for it to be discussed.

Lead by the leader of majority in the county assembly Joshua Mwonga, the motion was watered down by majority of the MCAs in the assembly.

Speaking to journalists outside the county assembly, the MCAs who left the assembly have criticized the majority leader for going against the order of President Uhuru Kenyatta and covering all those mentioned in the report.

The governor of Machakos county Dr Alfred Mutua and senator Johnston Muthama are allegedly among senior leaders of the county that have been implicated in the report.
