Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has completed his tour of the Coast region.

Namwamba, who recently resigned as ODM secretary general, vowed to form a force that will compete with Jubilee and Cord in the 2017 general election.

The MP said that the tour was successful, and thanked leaders in the region for the warm reception.

"Fantastic conclusion to our highly successful Coast tour, as we held very fruitful talks with leaders of the Western Kenya communities living in Mombasa and Malindi. We sincerely thank all friends and supporters from across the length and breadth of Coast,” posted Ababu on his Facebook page.

“Special appreciation for the people of Ganze and Bamba in Kilifi County, Changamwe in Mombasa County, leaders of the Western communities in Mombasa and Malindi and the dedicated County pointmen and women from Tana River, Lamu, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa who attended the strategy meeting. Hon Peter Shehe, Hon Omar Mwinyi, Hon John Waluke, the many MCAs and the aspirants for various positions” he added.

Namwamba is in a move to form a political party dubbed the third force, to compete against Cord and Jubilee in the 2017 poll.
