Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has hit out at the opposition, criticising Jubilee development projects.
Ababu said some leaders have been disapproving every project the government comes up with, urging politicians to stop politicising them.
“There are those who always fight every project the government initiates. When the government came to recruit youths, some said it was a ploy to rig votes,” Ababu said.
The Budalangi legislator noted that since he started to work with Jubilee government, his constituency has developed so fast because of the government’s projects started in the area citing Sh1 billion Sigiri bridge project.
“Politics of rhetoric is long gone because people want to see development and that is why Budalangi is growing so fast,” he noted.
He also criticised politicians in the past regime for ignoring the resident’s needs at the time they were in power.
The Labour party leader lauded president Uhuru Kenyatta for addressing his constituency needs.
“Some people came here to dance on the graves of those who had died for lack of a bridge but since the president came, we can now confirm Sigiri Bridge has been constructed,” he added.
The former ODM secretary general was speaking in his constituency during the launch of a youth empowerment project.
