Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has been elected the party leader of the Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) rebranded to Labour Fresh.
Ababu was elected Thursday during a dinner held in Karen after the rebranding of the party.
The party has now been rebranded as Labour Fresh.
During the launch of the rebranding of the party, Namwamba said that the party will stand for the respect of the law, equality and gender equity in the country.
“Labour Fresh stands for the respect for the rule of law, gender equity, equity and meritocracy. It stands for a better society. Yes, it advocates for uniformity in Kenya,” he said.
Also present during the launch was former party leader Julia Ojiambo among other guests.
