Mr Namwamba on his twitter account while condemning the attack on church women at a Kisumu hotel said violence is ingrained in the DNA of some people, leaders and parties.

The former MP said on twitter, “The brutal Kisumu attack on innocent women attending a workshop is terrible. Is violence ingrained in the DNA of some people, leaders, parties?”

Mr Namwamba who defected from ODM was reacting after some youths stormed Jumuia hotel in Kisumu town to flush out women claimed to be buying IDs from the residents.

The youths engaged police in running battles, blocking roads and hurling stones at the police who were forced to fire teargas to disperse them.

Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans after Namwamba’s tweet:

@martinRcoh said: A party that you wanted to sell out for some few coins, a party you went against and you are now a mere blogger.

@sylvia_okisai The new cheapest blogger in town... Kula pesa pole pole kijana (Eat the money in peace)

@Ms_Seleon: I hear he is hanging around media houses looking for airtime so he can express his ignorance. Kula pole pole kijana.

@Tekkta Terrible is when more than Sh1.2 billion bridge collapses under its own weight and it becomes worse when you survive on handouts from the state house
