Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ababu Namwamba has flown out to India as he seeks foreign support for the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Monday, Ababu held a meeting with all staff of the Kenya High Commission in New Delhi led by High Commissioner Ambassador Florence Weche.
The former Budalang'i MP received a comprehensive update on a wide range of issues regarding Kenya-India relations and the state of Kenya's New Delhi embassy.
The former Sports Cabinet Minister who is attending a World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ministerial Conference lauded the Asian country for its continued support for Kenya especially in the Health sector.
"To have something you have never had you must do something you have never done," he said at the embassy meeting as he stressed the need to exploit fully the strategic place of India and the unique historical relations Kenya enjoys with the sub-continent.
He lauded the Kenya Embassy staff for their dedication to service and urged them to raise the bar in pursuit of strategic relations to enable Kenya achieve targets of the Big Four Vision of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ababu is among politicians who reaped big during the recent constitution of Cabinet by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
