The relationship between former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba and Cord leader Raila Odinga seems to be going beyond repair.
Two ODM rebels, including Ababu, have launched a scathing attack on Raila, claiming that the opposition leader has misled his supporters for too long.
Ababu who was accompanied by Sirisia MP John Waluke to the Coast region accused Raila of controlling his supporters in Nyanza with an iron fist.
"I am the one who has made someone go to Western for five days because there is a wind of change. It does not matter how many trips he makes," Ababu said while referring to Raila's recent tours to Western region in a bid to tame rebellion.
Ababu described unnamed Opposition leaders as "prophets of false hope" and "agents of violence and division of our people".
Waluke also criticised Cord and ODM, saying they have oppressed many people and lack democracy.
The two attended the launch of the Federal Alliance Party of Kenya, founded by Ganze MP Peter Shehe on Saturday after holding discussions with fellow ODM rebel, Gideon Mung'aro, in Mombasa.
They said they will frequent Mombasa and Kwale counties in a bid to popularise the agenda of their ‘Third Force and Mulembe Alliance’.
One month ago, Ababu resigned as ODM secretary general, citing frustrations, lack of respect from top Orange party leaders and betrayal by Raila.
His resignation followed that of Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, who also resigned as party vice-chairman citing similar grievances.
The two had led some nine Western MPs in criticising Cord for allegedly not involving them in coalition affairs, especially those executed in the Luhya region.
Raila has however maintained that ODM promotes democracy.
