Embatled Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general Ababu Namwamba has said he is in the party to stay.
Speaking Monday during an interview with a vernacular radio station, Namwamba said he would not ditch the opposition outfit over his recent outbursts that he is a frustrated party official. The Budalangi MP instead turned heat on those who are pushing for his exit from the party to first do so.
"I am not going anywhere. Some of us have never known any other party apart from ODM.Therefore those who want me to leave should first do so," he told Radio Nam Lolwe.
He added that the latest squabbles in the party were ordinary issues which would be resolved.
The statement is likely to bring to an end speculation that the firebrand politician could be out of the Orange house.
