ODM leader Raila Odinga refused to discuss his strained relationship with Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba despite the mounting pressure from supporters at Busia on Sunday.

Ababu, the two term legislator and former Secretary General to Odinga’s party resigned from his position and joined LPK which has since endorsed reelection of President Kenyatta.

Upon his thrilling speech at fully to capacity Busia stadium, Odinga said he would not discuss Ababu because he was a ‘nobody’.

“I do not want to talk about Ababu. He is a nobody and we have serious issues to talk about here,” said Odinga amid anti-Ababu slogans from supporters.

He added: ‘I single handedly picked him in 2007 and saw a life of a brilliant young man. He won the seat and even gave him a ministry to take care of. He has decided to work with the enemies.”

During the 2008 swearing in ceremony in parliament, Namwamba caused commotion in the August house we he pledged allegiance to Odinga amid controversy in presidential outcome.

In August, the youthful MP will be facing his predecessor Raphael Wanjala who has since joined ODM party.
