Kabondo Kasipul Member of Parliament Silvance Osele has dismissed claims by former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba that he was not accorded respect in the party.
He said that every official chosen to serve the party has duties to perform and should not wait for assignments from the party chiefs.
“When one is chosen to serve as an official to the party, they should not wait for directions from the heads of ODM rather they should give out tasks to themselves and to other members,” said Osele.
The legislator warned other orange members not to speak on what he said is ill to those loyal to the party and especially to their leader Raila Odinga.
“We have heard of instances of when some members who are considering to move out of ODM saying things which are not in favor of our party and its leaders,” said Osele.
Speaking on Friday at Kabondo Kasipul constituency when he joined the alumni of Ringa Boys High School in celebrating 50 years of existence, the MP dismissed the recent polls by Ipsos Synovate which showed President Uhuru Kenyatta leading in popularity by 68 percent against Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Osele said the polls were not conducted in a transparent manner and are meant to scare Cord supporters of not winning the 2017 general elections.
“We believe that the polls firm was bought so that they may release survey results which do not match Kenyans opinions and in turn changing their minds on who might win the next general elections,” said Osele.
