Budalangi MP Ababu Namwaba. He has maintained that the National Super Alliance (Nasa)have given the Luhya community a raw deal.Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has scoffed at two senior principles of The National Super Alliance (NASA) saying they were duped into accepting nonexistent positions.
Speaking during the 'Cheche' show on Citizen TV Wendnesday, the former ODM secretary general said Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and his Amani National Congress counterpart Musalia Mudavadi who both hail from the Luhya community stood to gain nothing should the coalition win."In fact the 'Mulembe'nation stands to gain nothing should NASA win. There are only two positions on offer that is the presidency and his deputy and the last time I checked no Luhyah was on offer for the same. The others are fancy titles which are non-existent," he said. The former Sports minister further chided Mudavadi telling him to accept the fact that he would be a mere cabinet secretary in the NASA government.Asked if the community had benefited in Jubilee in terms of representation the former Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman stated that president Uhuru Kenyatta had been candid enough by appointing Eugene Wamalwa(Water) and Judy Wakhungu (Environment) unlike in NASA where the community was offered hot air.
Ababu has since thrown his weight behind Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid after rebelling against the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) which sponsored him to Parliament.
