Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has hinted that he will vie for the presidency in 2022.
Namwamba alluded to this when he was speaking in Kimaeti. He suggested that he is looking to consolidate his support base before launching his bid.
The former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general said that his party, the Labour Party of Kenya, will not field a presidential candidate in this year's August 8 polls.
"For now, we are looking to popularise our party," he said as quoted by the Standard.
He called on Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi to fight for the top slot in NASA. He said that should there be no Western Kenya candidates in the next election, he will front himself.
