The leader and his counterparts for the other ministries were on Friday sworn-in to their respective positions at the Nairobi State House and has vowed to hold the Kenyan flag high as he will be showcasing the nation around the globe.

The former Budalang'i Member of Parliament further expressed gratitude to the president for entrusting him with the responsibility, vowing to make the nation proud.

''Took the oath of office as CAS for Foreign Affairs & International Trade and signed a code of ethics & integrity. I thank H.E @UKenyatta and DP @WilliamsRuto for the honor and trust. There is no nobler calling than helping to showcase the very best of the Motherland to the whole world,'' Tweeted Ababu.

His pledge, however, follows a strict directive given to the new officials by Kenyatta who warned against any form of indolence.

The President, while supervising the oath-taking event, also warned the team against involvement in graft warning of dire constitutional penalties to culpable individuals.

''You will have only yourself to blame if you are found engaging in anything other than service delivery. None of you should expect state defense if found responsible of any wrongdoing,'' the President warned.
