The LPK party leader was at 64 Stadium popularising his party ahead of 2017.

Hell broke when the lawmaker spoke ill of the Jubilee administration as he said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto had failed Kenyans because of their laxity to tame runaway graft.

Eldoret, where Ababu held the rally is in Uasin Gishu, the home county of Mr Ruto. The county is a Jubilee stronghold.

A section of the youth who were angered by the lawmaker's remarks shouted him down while others carried chairs in readiness for fight.

The former ODM Secretary General has been traversing the country marketing his 'Third Force' movement which seeks to unite the Luhya community ahead of the polls.

The Eldoret incident is the second to happen since he began his campaigns.

When he recently visited Coast region, Ababu encountered resistance in Mombasa when youth attacked him for betraying ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

He was forced to speed off during the melee as sticks-wielding youth pursued him.
