Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has responded to ODM’s decision to expel him and nine others from the party.
Speaking on Tuesday through his Facebook account, Namwamba said that he did not have any apologies over his decision and that it was a just cause that drove his rebellion.
“Rebel with a JUST Cause...Proudly, unapologetically, unbowingly so!” he posted.
Namwamba also posted photos of himself in military-like regalia, photos which received encouragement and criticism from political enthusiasts on social media.
This amid speculation that the expulsion will automatically open doors for a by-election where Ababu’s fate could hang in the air due to Raila Odinga’s arguable influence in the constituency.
The Monday axe by the Orange party also fell on Governor Salim Mvurya, Steve Kariuki, Joash Maangi, Samwel Arama, Zainab Chidzuga, Samwel Nyangwara, Masoud Mwahima, Isaac Mwaura and John Waluke.
