Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong' sensationally claims that Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba could make a surprise return to ODM party, seven months after ditching opposition leader Raila Odinga, reports the Star.
On Wednesday, Ojaamong said in an interview that Namwamba, a former ODM Secretary General no longer receives funding from Jubilee Party.
The outspoken MP, who has since gone quiet, ditched the ODM party citing frustrations from its top leadership.
"Ababu was a visionary leader who was destined for greatness in this country's political game," said Ojaamong.
He added: "He was blinded by money from Jubilee side into relaunching of Labour Party. He no longer enjoys the funding and could join us soon."
During the 2008 post election crisis, Namwamba, who served as Sports Minister, took an oath in the name of defending 'president' Raila Odinga, remarks which sent parliament into another hot debate.
