Speaking to journalists in Eldoret on Saturday during the Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) delegates conference, the former ODM MP said that dumping Odinga's party opened many doors of blessings and  opportunities  for him.

He  claimed that he has never regretted quitting ODM adding that he was captive in the party and did not have space to explore and build on his political career.

"I am happy because I made the right decision by quitting ODM and I have never regretted the move," he said on Saturday.

The former ODM Secretary General  said that he was frustrated in the party which he claimed has no room for young aspiring leaders.

During the conference, Ababu announced that he is now focused on serving Kenyans in his new Chief Administrative Secretary position (CAS) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after being appointed by Uhuru Kenyatta last month.

Ababu used the delegates convention to resign from his post as the labor party leader.
