Maalim, who was speaking at KTN's JKL Show on Wednesday night, said that Ababu is a charistmatic and a brilliant leader which made Jubilee to lure him to their camp.

"Ababu is heading to Jubilee and no where else. He was promised to be Ruto's running mate which made him decamp our party, ODM," said Maalim.

He asked Ababu to reconsider his decision as they are hopeful of winning the next year's general election.

"Cord has very high chances of winning in 2017. We are asking Ababu to reconsider his decision and come back home," added the former Deputy Speaker.

He further alleged that no one can win any seat in Busia without Raila Odinga endorsing him since it is an ODM zone.

"Busia county is ODM's bedrock. Ababu risks loosing his re-election bid if he lacks Raila's endorsement," posed Maalim.

Ababu resigned his Secretary General post saying that western leaders are being alienated from leadership in the party. He has said the westen region will form a political outfit to accommodate those defecting from ODM.
