Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba has hinted on running for the country’s high office in 2022.The former ODM secretary general who defected to Labour party of Kenya expressed dissatisfaction with the way the Luhya community has been undervalued in the political arena.As he hinted on his possible 2022 presidential candidacy, Namwamba called on ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang’ula not to relent on their push of getting the Opposition’s ticket for the State House race.Though his LPK backs President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election, Namwamba on Sunday said it was about time other communities support a Luhya candidate for the top job come August 8.He said if Mudavadi and Wetangula are not ready to take their ‘deserved’ spot, they should let the country know so that he may start his “preparations for 2022.”NASA that comprises of ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya is yet to name its flag bearer for the August poll.The coalition’s leaders; Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula are still in deliberations on who would carry their flag as they prepare to face Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
