Kilifi is among counties the outspoken lawmaker targets to recruit members from as he seeks to boost LPK's member numbers.

Ababu is seeking to popularise LPK, a party he recently re-launched in Karen, Nairobi.

Already the recruitment exercise has been launched in Busia, Bungoma and Kisii counties.

It is still however, unclear why he chose to roll-out the registration in Kilifi, leaving out Mombasa, the county with the highest number of prospective voters in the Coastal region.

LPK has fielded its first candidate for election in the Nyacheki Ward by-election in Kisii County.

Others the party has lined up to vie for political seats include journalist David Makali who will contest for the Bungoma senatorial seat and Esther Kondo who will vie for the Rabai parliamentary seat.

Ababu had rubbished claims that the 'Third Force' he formed after resigning from ODM as Secretary General is meant to weaken Cord in Western region.
