Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba has said they will unveil their preferred party in readiness for next year's general election.
Speaking in Amagoro after meeting grassroots leaders from Teso North and South, Namwamba said his third-force movement would not be fielding a presidential candidate but was ready to work with other parties in the next election including Jubilee.
“We do not have a presidential candidate and as such we will not be fronting anyone. We will look at parties like ours with the best interest of Kenyans in order to join forces with them,” said Namwamba as quoted by the Nation.
Namwamba who hit out at ODM party leader Raila Odinga over claims that he had been bought to leave ODM said Raila had himself changed parties severally and should also disclose how much he was given to become the Kanu secretary general in 2001.
He said Raila was scared of his influence in Western region adding that the Cord co-principal was constantly losing his close allies in the run-up to every election.
Namwamba said Raila's latest tour of Western Kenya was an indication he was scared of his (Namwamba's) political move.
“Now that I have left, he personally spent a week in the area trying to win back voters,” the Budalang'i MP said.
He added that Raila’s traditional support base was shifting and he could no longer take the Western region for a ride.
Namwamba said the region will chart its own path and not be led blindly by selfish people.
