Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba's Labour Party has launched a members' recruitment drive in Kajiado County.
The county becomes the eighth to roll out the exercise.
Ababu is seeking to bolster support for LPK, the party he envisages to use in defending his seat in 2017.
He first unveiled the exercise in Busia before rolling it out to Bungoma and Kisii counties.
Other devolved units where members have already been registered include Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Uasin Gishu.
Ababu broke ranks with ODM mid-year- accusing a section of ODM party members of frustrating him as Secretary General.
He is however, facing an anthill task in defending his parliamentary seat owing to the fact that ODM is mobilising machinery to ensure he does not sail through to Parliament in 2017.
