LPK Secretary General David Makali has revealed that the party will tour Busia, Bungoma and Kisii before heading to Mombasa.

In Kisii, the party is expected to drum up support for Nyacheki MCA aspirant Ezekiel Magati who will be using the party’s ticket in 2017.

Makali also said that apart from registering members and drumming up support for expected aspirants, the team will also be out "to popularise the party, recruit members and meet aspirants for various election positions".

On his side, party leader Ababu Namwamba has said that the party’s main agenda is to fight for the welfare of the Kenyan worker in all fields.

“As with most Labour Parties across the world, like in the UK, ours is a social democracy party whose policy focus is pursuit of the very best interests of workers,” he said.

“This includes just pay for every ounce of labour rendered, fair treatment in the workplace and a conducive working environment,” he added.
