Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba's Labour Party of Kenya is set to unveil its presidential candidate for the 2017 elections.
The lawmaker who quit ODM nearly four months ago has also declared that he will use the LPK as his vehicle to State House in the 2022 polls.
Speaking at Busia Polytechnic grounds where he had gone to popularize the party, the lawmaker said his party is not going to join any other political outfit ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Regarding the composition of the party which has received too much criticism over the past weeks as a Western Province outfit, Namwamba said the party is national as its members are drawn across the country.
"Some prophets of doom are saying this party only belongs to the Western region, but this is a national party," he said.
