The position for secretary general of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is officially open.
This is according to Budalang’i MP, Ababu Namwamba has said that despite him having given in his resignation letter to the party, he has left.
The leader was speaking on Wednesday morning during his meeting with the German Ambassador to Kenya, Jutta Frasch.
“Can anything be more substantive than me saying it on several times that I have out of my own volition resigned? I have relinquished the position of Secretary General,” said Namwamba.
The leader had this to say about handing in his resignation letter to make his statements official, ‘‘There is no doubt that I am no longer the Secretary General of ODM, let the party take note. I have relinquished the position of Secretary General. Those are matters of the past.’’
These statements from the Budalang’i MP come right after whispers that he had not really left the party and was still the secretary general.
The leader fell out with some of the party members who accused him of not being part and partisan of solving problems amongst members in the party.
