The Labour Party has announced that it will kick member recruitment from October 14, 2016, ahead of the next general election.

According to secretary David Makali, the recruitment is set to begin in Busia before moving to Bungoma county.

"This is in an effort to ensure that the party fields candidates for all elective positions and that they win,"said Makali.

He added that the outfit is set to conduct rallies from Kisii County to the Kenyan coast is a bid to popularise the outfit and recruitment of more members.

“This includes just pay for every ounce of labour rendered, fair treatment in the workplace and a conducive working environment,”he added.

The party was recently re-launched after former ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba was installed as the leader.
