The Abagusii community living in Nakuru County have appealed to the government and political parties to ensure party primaries are not held on a Saturday.
Such a move, they said, will lock out many of them.
They were addressing media in Nakuru under the umbrella Nakuru County Voice of Mwamgusii Forum on Wednesday led by their Assistant Secretary Jeremiah Nyandoro.
“We as Abagusii community living in Nakuru we are calling on the government and political parties to ensure that the party primaries are held on any other day but not on a Saturday as most of our members are SDA and we can be locked out,” said Nyandoro.
They also affirmed their support for the Jubilee government.
“We as Kisii Community in Nakuru, we are going to support Jubilee Government and we also demand representation in Nakuru County through election or otherwise,” said Nyandoro.
