Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan has declared war on criminals terrorizing wananchi.
He said he will deal with them ruthlessly.
"I want to give stern warning to criminals breaking into houses and terorizing wananchi that their days are numbered. They either reform or we come for their neck," he said during Mashujaa day celebrations,Friday.
"These are organised gangs that collude with individuals from other counties to terrorise residents. We shall not condone such acts," he added.
He reiterated that police will intensify patrols in estates in areas that have been targeted by the gangsters in the recent past.
"The areas that have become criminals hot spots include Flyover, Baharini, Ngomongo,Kisumu ndogo and Langas. My officers will work round the clock to ensure residents are safe," he noted.
Hassan warned Bodabodas operating past 11 pm saying it is against the law and anyone who will be found will face the wrath of the law.
He called upon residents to maintain peace during and after the October 26 presidential elections.
"Anyone who will cause violence, we will deal with him or her ruthlessly. We won't allow our country to go back to 2007 post election violence under my watch," noted Hassan.
