The Abdikarim sub-clan of the larger Abdala clan has once again endorsed Governor Jama's political bid to defend his current position in the August elections.
A section of the clan's decision makers further disclosed that Garissa's current Deputy Governor Abdullahi Hussein shall remain in his position if Jama makes the next government.
The clan also faulted the Talaamunge alliance that his slowly making prominence in the county, adding that the alliance is being exploited by non-performing aspirants to blackmail the electorate.
"Do not be blackmailed by the false and fake affiliations in the name of Talamuge Alliance which by all means is a definition and a tool to use as a stepping stone to cross the bridge by seasonal politicians," said one of the Abdikarim elders.
The latest endorsement now places governor Nathif Jama at a better position of retaining the seat given the value that the various Garissa communities accord elder's opinions in what is famously known as negotiated democracy.
