Former presidential candidate Abduba Dida has hit out at the government over the arrest of former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna.

Miguna was arrested on Friday for participating in the controversial swearing in of NASA principal Raila Odinga as 'People's President.'

The court freed him on a free bond, however, police are yet to release him.

Also, reports indicate police at Lari police station where he is being held denied his lawyers and doctors a chance to give him medication after he was reported to have suffered asthma.

Speaking on the matter, Dida said it was unconstitutional for the state to continue detaining Miguna despite a court order.

"I am not in support of NASA's methods of doing things but detaining Miguna Miguna even after the court had issued an order for him to be released is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, STUPID AND INHUMAN!"Dida noted in a tweet on Sunday.

The Alliance For Real Change Party leader also noted that it unthinkable to deny the NRM general medical services.

He called on the relevant authorities to respect court orders.

"Denying him medical services is just UNTHINKABLE! Court orders MUST BE RESPECTED by all!" the politician added.
