Speaking on Monday during an interview on Citizen Extra, Dida said if Uhuru was allowed to be himself, Kenya would not have witnessed the ongoing political stalemate in the country.

Dida hit out at Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, accusing them of misadvising the President.

The outspoken politician claimed the duo, who he accused of propagating ethnic politics, were responsible for the hostility between Uhuru and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

“Moses Kuria will tell Uhuru the legacy you should leave behind is making sure you finish Raila, and Mutahi Nguyi will tell him the same,” said Dida.

Dida said there has been an unchanging and increasing hostility between individuals in the country which has now escalated into hatred among different tribes.

He said there is a need for Kenyans to change their mindset and live in unity.

“There is a reason why God brought 42 tribes in this country. We are supposed to understand, tolerate and appreciate one another. We should focus on our strong points and unite for the sake of the country,” said Dida.

Dida, however, lauded the President saying if ‘he (Uhuru) had followed the advice of his clique, things would have been worse for Kenya’.
